In utero is by far my favorite nirvana album. And it includes a set of bonus cuts and added features that should make every nirvana fanatic as happy as a flannel clad grunge rocker in a doc martens store. In utero is a perfect album in that sense. Very happy with the 20th anniversary edition.

This 20th anniversary 3lp edition of the unwitting swansong of the single most influential band of the 1990s features the original album remastered at abbey road studios on 2 lps and for the first time available at high fidelity 45 rpm plus a 33 1 3 rpm lp of all the remastered b sides never before heard mixes and bonus tracks from the original album release. Nirvana departed from the sound that made them huge on nevermind. The 20th anniversary reissue of nirvana s third lp includes a remastered version of the original mix b sides outtakes and a slew of embryonic demos along with a new mix overseen by steve albini.

The in utero 20th anniversary 3 lp deluxe edition features the original album newly remastered on 2 lps at 45rpm the complete b sides alternate mixes and demos on 1 lp at 33 1 3 rpm. I would personally award in utero 4 stars out of 5 if reviewing it based on it s music alone. All 3 lps are pressed on 180 gram heavy weight vinyl.
